'You Could Wish Me The Best', the 2nd EP by Dear Youth, shows the band maturing and heading into a natural, more organic direction. The band dug deep into their pop-punk and emo roots, blossoming into something which they feel can firmly stand on its own.
“This EP is our message to those who feel like everyone around them wants them to fail. Your family, your friends, the very people closest to you, can hold you back. The fear of failure is in all of us and the only way to overcome it is to live it every day,” vocalist Jared Zuckerman explains. “If you’re not happy in what you’re doing with your life, you have to shut off everyone and everything. Only then can you hear the voice inside your head and hopefully have the courage to speak and act upon it.”
